Twisp River Work Week

Join MVTC staff and a dedicated group of volunteers for our second annual Twisp River Work Week. A crew of volunteers will be camping at the Polar Flats Campground for the week, and you are encouraged to join if interested, or just join for a day as your schedule allows. The main goal of the week is to clear winter blowdowns from trails in the Twisp River Drainage, but deferred brushing and repairing washouts from the December 2025 rainstorm will also be on the docket. There will be work for all ability levels and skill types. Hikes are expected to be around 6 miles or less round-trip.

Our crew will convene at the Poplar Flats Campground at 8:30 each morning and aim to return to the cars by 2:30 pm at the latest. We’ll prioritize work each day at the campground, split into groups, then carpool to selected trails for the work day. Reach out if you would like to coordinate a carpool from Twisp. Join us for one day, or make some new friends throughout the week. We’ll take all the help we can get this year.

Trails we would like to work on this week include: North Lake trail, Twisp Pass, Scatter Creek trail, South Creek, Louis Lake, Williams Creek, Eagle Creek, and a shuttled logout of the Twisp River Trail.

MVTC will provide tools, personal protective equipment, training, and light refreshments afterward.

Please bring water, sturdy, close-toed shoes, lunch, and wear an outfit you do not mind getting dirty.

All are welcome! Please join us if you are able.
